You will see many companies say they are a family run business, what does that mean exactly?
For us it means just what it says. We don't employ people, its just the wife and I (and sometimes our little girl) who engage with you from the start, turn up early on the day, spend the day with you capturing footage and images that we feel appropriate, and then set to work making them into the best images and video we can.
Before you think anything, yes we do pay our daughter actual cash.
Why we do this? This question has more than one answer, but simply, we love what we do. We love being able to be part of a wedding day, being able to help with the brides dress, or the grooms cufflinks. We know hands get a bit shaky with nerves on the day, and we can help steady those nerves by using our experiences.
We have had nervous brides and nervous grooms, and those who know exactly what they want, and those who are happy to go with the flow. Let's be honest, even with all the planning in the world, nobody can know exactly how your day will go, there will be hiccups, and that thing that you forgot to plan for. Don't worry, we have seen it all before, and know the solution. Sometimes a chat is all you need, sometimes it is more, but we can and do help with that. We are not just there to take photos or video and never be seen again, a fair few of our couples, we have remained friends with.
We also do this for us. It makes us smile, it makes us happy. The results, and the comments from the couple, during, and after makes us feel a bit warm inside, and who does not like that feeling? I have to say, that without the experiences with my wife (in the photo) I don't think I would have started this journey, and met so many amazing people.
So, why do we do this? For love. The love of each other, the love of helping, the love of the way it makes us feel, and the love we see in each and every couple, not only during the day, but afterwards also.
